I use Square for Restaurant and have 2 devices, orders place on each devices are no longer in sync. Order placed using device 1 stays on device 1 and via versa.
When comes to customer paying I now have to have both devices together, which is very inconvenient and stops my staff taking orders.
I have noticed 1 of the device is on a newer version where as the other one is not, this was never an issue.
How can i fix this?

If one device is on a newer version and the other isn’t, that can break real-time sync.
On the older device:
Go to the App Store / Play Store
Update Square for Restaurants
Restart the device after updating
Both devices should be on the same app version.
Confirm Both Devices Are in the Same Location
On each device:
Go to Settings → Account → Location
Make sure both are set to the same restaurant location
If they’re accidentally set to different locations, tickets won’t sync.
If It Still Doesn’t Sync
Do this reset (safe step):
Close the app fully on both devices
Restart both devices
Open the app again
Log out and back in on both
If that doesn’t work, the next step would be:
Remove the older device from the device list in Dashboard
Re-add it
