Here is our situation; we are a grocery store and often have items that are out of date that we sell at a discounted amount, alongside items that are within the sell date that we sell for full price. Specifically, loaves of bread. If a customer purchases 2 of the same types of bread, one discounted and one full price, we do not have a way of distinguishing these at checkout. The discount is applied to both or none. We cannot create a new item or variation for this as it warps our inventory tracking and is more time/work for our staff. We also do not want to manually adjust the price at checkout as that also is more time and work for our staff.
Is there a way to be able to apply the discount to one of multiple similar items? If not, please add this as a feature to the discounts as many retail grocery stores have this situation.
@BFMClintonville When you put the item on the ticket, you can scroll down and turn on discounts for just that item. Then you can add the regular priced item or vice versa and the discount will only apply to 1 item.
