Invoices/Sales

We currently sell individual products as well as bulk product via wholesale .  For example selling an individual jar of jam at a Farmers  Market for $6 vs wholesale for $4.50 per jar in a case of 12.

to keep our sanity , all jars of a specific variety whether sold individually or in a case for wholesale come from same inventory bucket.

my issue comes from inventorying our wholesale customers as by default it uses our individual jar price and I have to set an overall discount on the invoice for all line items. I’m starting to get complaints from our customers about showing the proper prices for each line item or a discount for each item.

is there a way to set multiple discounts on an invoice , or can I make my items variable pricing so I can modify then as I do invoicing ?

Hey @Arsheppard4251,

Thanks for being a member of the Community.

Is there a way to set multiple discounts on an invoice?
Yes - multiple discounts can be applied to the same invoice. Here's an article on applying multiple discounts

Can I make my items variable pricing so I can modify them as I do invoices?
Yes - variable-priced items can be added to an invoice so that the price can be modified while creating the invoice. Check out this best answer on how to set up variable pricing.

We hope this helps.

Thank you so much . The multiple discount link doesn’t work .

in regards to variable pricing . How would that work if the items are tied to our website too ?

Hey there, @Arsheppard4251

Jumping in for Robyn R on this one!

Do you want the variable item to sell on your website too? Or is this something you only want to keep in your Point of Sale?

I will keep an eye out for your reply👀

Thank you, @Arsheppard4251.

If you are using the same item between both the Online Store and your Point of Sale - you would be able to do this.

You will have to set a price for the item in you Online Store, so it can show available. If you turn on the Item Sync, you will be able to pull inventory when items are purchased from either.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
