We are using Square on iPad/Android tablets in a brewery setting with both indoor and outdoor seating across a fairly large area. I believe our underlying issue is that connectivity can be a little bit intermittent as the iPads move between zones, potentially connecting and disconnecting to different WiFi access points in those zones.
The symptom is that it seems like sometimes the printing of our tickets can be intermittent in these situations. Often it will be fine, but as the room fills up and there are more people and orders, the connectivity to the printer can be a bit suspect.
I was wondering if there are any "best practices" for this type of environment that may help to ensure all of our tickets are printing, or to detect when a fault occurs. As you can imagine, it can be a bit confusing and frustrating for both servers and patrons when these tickets go missing.
