Just bought a business, can I use their terminal with my new Square account?w

I just purchased business that uses a square terminal loaded with all product I will be selling. I have a new Square account and bank account, can I assign that terminal to my account and use it?  Also, wondering if I can use a new square register I bought.

The square terminal is tied to your login. To use your new account you need to sign out of the old account on the terminal, then sign in with the new account. Unfortunately all the items will only exist in the old account. If you have access to the old account then you could export the items, then import them into your new account.

You can have multiple devices signed in, so once you have the account set up the way you want then you can also log in your square register.
