I just recieved my Square Terminal today and I'm wondering what the headphone jack on the side below the power button is for. I'm assuming it's an accessibility feature commonly seen on ATM devices but I've never seen it on a payment terminal before so I'm a little confused of its purpose. I tried plugging a square Magstripe Reader just for fun but it wasn't recognized. Does anybody know what it is used for?

Jumping in for Nika here. That 3.5mm jack is there for accessibility for vision impaired Sellers. There's TalkBack as an accessibility option that will read what's on the screen for you.

@Setherson03 - Are you talking about the power outlet? The Terminal comes with a power adapter that plugs into the side of the Terminal.
Hi @nika Thanks for replying to my post. I am aware that the Square Terminal has a USB-C port near the receipt printer at the back of the device, but at the front of the device underneath the power button there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Do you have a Square Terminal there that you would be able to use to confirm its purpose?
