Our shop uses Square POS and Fresh KDS over WiFi as an "emulated printer" for drink tickets. Fresh KDS has worked well for the last 10 months, but after this weekend strangely stopped sending ticket names and no longer shows the order type (For Here or To-Go). It will still display the drink order correctly, but all the names on the tickets just read "Order".
None of the settings were adjusted between running normally and this issue appearing. I'm at a loss as to what this could be. We had a very busy weekend, and everything worked fine. After 2 days closed and coming back, it seems like the KDS is glitching out/losing connection to the WiFi.
If anyone has any insight into this kind of issue/troubleshooting advice it would be greatly appreciated.

We're having the problem as well, started a support ticket with Fresh KDS yesterday.
Having the same issue here. Called support yesterday and was brushed off saying there are some problems and will be rectified in 1-2 hours. Nothing mentioned on their Status Page. And problem still not fixed after 24 hours.
Anyone have a solution or managed to get a 'real' answer to our problem?

I use the Android version of KDS and have this issue once I updated Square POS to version 6.96so. The other Square POS at our shop uses version 6.92.3so and the order names are showing up with the names we enter. It is only when we take orders with the Square POS version 6.96 that the ticket on all of our KDS tablets shows as "Order". We have noticed that at times, you can get the name to show if you manually pull up the customer's record as part of the order and then it will sometimes show the name. However, if you manually enter the name, it always shows "Order".
We've discovered a temporary workaround to print order names. At the top of the ticket tab, if you select "Actions" and "Name and Notes," the order name entered here will show on the Fresh KDS. This is an extra two steps to order-taking but has been working for the time being.
