Drop down list in Square Register

I am trying to find the best way to organize my items so that they display best on both Square Online and Square Register.

 

As an example:
I sell product "Honey".

"Honey" has two options - varietal, and size.

I have 26 varieties of honey (clover, orange blossom, etc.)

I have 5 different sizes of containers. (x-small, small, medium, large, huge)

Not all varietals come in all five sizes.

 

I find when customers are looking for honey online, they prefer to look at varietal first, then will pick the size they want.

 

I find when my employees are entering items into Register, they prefer to choose the size first, then the varietal.  (Because when customers are purchasing multiple jars, they tend to choose the same size jar.  Ie, 4 large jars, or 6 medium jars, or 12 small jars....)

 

Right now, I have the website such that each honey varietal has it's own informational screen.  From there, the customer clicks on product "Honey".  On the Honey product page, there is a dropdown list for the honey varietal, and a radiobox for the size.  When a customer chooses a specific varietal, any sizes that are not in stock are greyed out.  If they happen to choose a size first, any varietal that is not offered in that size is greyed out.  (Not like my old site, but it should work.)

 

If the information appeared the same on Register, I would be happy, but it does not.

 

On Register, all honey varietals are listed in a single line.  All sizes are listed on a separate line.  In order to pick the correct varietal or size, we have to swipe left across all 26 honey names and all 5 sizes.  This takes too long. 

How do we get both options to appear as either drop down lists or a radio buttons on Register?

At this time this is considered a Feature Request. In order to appropriately send these to our product teams we’d love it if you'd submit this request on our Ideate page for Square Point of Sale. Our team monitors these boards and we triage them to measure needs. You can search the boards to see if this has been requested before and add your use case if so!
