Consolidate discounts on receipts

Hi

 

This was asked previously (about 4 years ago!) and was commented this was being looked at, but still the receipts list every discount on every item, regardless of relevance. With large purchases this looks ridiculous and nonsensical, and is completely unnecessary. It is also a huge waste of printer paper!

 

I assumed the "Show cart-level discounts on the item level' toggle would turn this off, but doesn't. It would be ideal to simply have a consolidated 'discounts applied' at the bottom of the total, as a summary.

Hello, I feel this could be personal choice for the business owner.  Yes long receipts become a pharmacy store meme (however most of my clients do not even want a receipt)...  But I have clients who like to know where the discounts are being applied. 

 

I like the toggle on off option for consolidation to give a choice for business owners. 

 

We are on retail plus  and our receipts  list the discount under the item and at the bottom of my receipt it consolidates the discounts into "savings" . 

When I am at the grocery store I look at my total saved.  Now our grocery store will actually give it in dollars and a percentage, kinda cool.  Its almost like a game like how can I get a bigger percent off.😆 retail mind tricks

hello as I was looking around you can toggle things off

go to settings

go to payments

go to receipts

then toggle under items and total

on or off

hopefully that is what you are looking for
