@Roxy3  Welcome to the community. The hub goes between the terminal and the power block, the hub has an Ethernet port if you want to hardwire your terminal. The terminal will also connect via WiFi. Below is a link explaining the hub and terminal.

Hi @Roxy3, welcome to the Seller Community and thank you for your post. Just as a heads up, I went ahead and moved your post over to our "Square Terminal" Community board, just to keep things organized. Appreciate you jumping in to help too, @rtfulk!

With the Hub, you should be able to directly plug a hardwired Ethernet connection into your Hub and then connect it to your Square Terminal. Is there a particular difficulty you are coming across?

Please let us know and I can continue looking into this for you.

I actually have a follow up question for this. I am looking at getting the hub & a bar code scanner to connect to square terminal.  But can they [ hub & scanner ] be used without electricity? I have a powerful battery bank that charges terminal as needed during markets.

Yes, you would need electricity or a battery pack strong enough to power the terminal and barcode scanner.
