I called for support yesterday and it said they'd call me back. They didn't. All I could get ahold of was support through text... and they were no help.
A forced software update made my perfectly working terminal turn into something that won't turn on anymore. It won't even reset (battery works, charger works, it was plugged in for the update). On top of that, support told me they stopped supporting my terminal a couple months ago. So, I guess they can break it with a forced firmware update and tell me to buy a new one after they brake it. Convenient. I can't recommend them.
I did some more digging — is this what you’re referring to, the Square Register and Square Terminal (1st generation, v1) end of life? I don’t see any trade-in options available at the moment. I understand that having to spend money on another device is upsetting. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.
