Adding customer name to order ticket

Hello!

I use square POS for my food truck. Up until about 2 week ago we were given the option to add the customers name after pressing the “charge” button prior to going to the payment page. Now we don’t have that option as pressing the charge button takes us directly to the payment page. I’m not talking about adding the “customer information”… this is to manually add a simple name to the order ticket so we know who to give the order to upon completion. Any assistance is appreciated!

Hi @Scotty66, first off, welcome to the Square Community!

 

Secondly, would you be able to take a video to show the process you use? As well as the items or an example order for us to review?

 

Our Operations team is wanting to take a look, because the Custom Name/Number screen that appears requires for the POS to be connected to a printer that has In-Person Orders enabled or connected to KDS. They are just wanting to double-check that everything is setup correctly for you.
