As a healthcare provider, I need 1. HIPPA security and 2. compliance and 3. a BAA certificate providing these are provided before I can use the scheduler and biller system. I see no evidence of these items. Does Square offer them?
Yes Square is HIPAA compliant
Here is a link from their legal links on HIPPA
https://squareup.com/legal/hipaa
and here is the general legal page with all their links
Here is another page about HIPAA

Hi, I read the SuareUp Hipaa agreement page. My question is: by signing up and creating an account/booking site, am I automatically covered and thus I don't need to sign a BAA?
I signed a BAA with all the other services I used (email, fax, secure messaging...)
If you take another quick peek at the first link @VanKalkerFarms provided above, you'll see this tidbit directly covers the HIPAA BAA you're asking about. The third article provided in @VanKalkerFarms' post explains HIPAA compliance as it pertains to using Square in more detail:
If you are subject to HIPAA as a Covered Entity or Business Associate (as defined in HIPAA) and use the Services in a manner that causes Square to create, receive, maintain, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) on your behalf, then you agree to the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (“HIPAA BAA”).
Square Sellers are responsible for determining whether they are subject to HIPAA requirements and whether they intend to use the Services in connection with PHI.
This should help provide a bit more clarity, @GSLactation.

For a profession who needs to be HIPAA compliant is the online appointments scheduler secure?
I am not sure how to request a signed BAA so I can be HIPAA compliant. Has anyone else done this? Thank you.
I need the BAA agreement too. Did you find out how to complete this?
Hey @Briana2018 👋 And sorry your post was never answered, @sandoval09. Our Super Seller, @VanKalkerFarms responded to a similar post with the same question.
I've merged you to this thread so you can check it out!
Does anyone have the link to the HIPAA BAA? The links above go to a dead page.
Hi @xrichpaula - the links aren't dead. I just tested using Google Chrome. Can you try a different browser or device?
I see the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) information on the Square site: https://squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/hipaa
It seems that just by using the application and being a covered entity, the BAA is automatically applied. However, I'd like to confirm as a previous user asked: Is there a way to actually sign the BAA as a user, or is having the account and using the services sufficient to be covered by HIPAA?
Thanks for writing in with this question, @MDHouse!
There currently isn't a form for you to sign, and you're covered by using the application.
PS. I noticed it's your first post, welcome to our community 👋
