I’m brand new to Square and I’m working on building a website for my personal chef and meal prep services. I found a platform that seems to cater to restaurants and personal chefs, but I’m honestly feeling a bit lost on how to get started.

I’m not sure where to begin with building the site or what I should expect during the setup process. Are there any tutorials, guides, or coaches you’d recommend that could help walk me through this?

Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hey @buffychef welcome to square.  Can I aska few questions about what your website will be used for?  Are you planning to sell your meal prep services through you website IE Customers can get on your website and choose the meals they want and then purchase them?  If so you may find an online website setup through square would work well for you.  I'm in Australia so things might be a little different, but by setting up an online page through your square account you can use your domain name, set up your items, order time frames IE 2 days from order to collection/delivery, set up delivery, manage payments etc.  It's worth looking into.  If you login to your square account and then go to Support, then Online there are some great resources to help you get your site setup, setup email, etc. Hope that helps.

WordPress is the best platform to use for this type of website. It’s flexible, scalable, and easy to maintain long-term.

We currently work with a company that specializes in restaurant websites and online ordering. They charge around $300 to completely build the site, and that includes hosting, updates, and ongoing maintenance for the entire year. After the first year, we pay $250 annually, which continues to cover hosting, updates, and any website changes we need throughout the year.

This setup works extremely well for us because it keeps costs predictable while ensuring the site stays secure, updated, and functional without having to manage it ourselves.
