Square Professional Setup help

Square keeps coming out with new features and resources- and likely there are plenty of businesses that benefit from this type of help. 
BUT what *I* would really love would be to have a Square Team that is available to help you set up your Square in a way that works best for you!! People who know the ins and outs really well, as well as the new features available. Instead of lil ol me running my business and trying to learn the best way to set up my square, likely missing some tricks or easy ways to do things… 

If I could hop on a consultation with someone and say “this is my business, this is how I would like for it to look/work” and they could professionally set it up for you?! From item entering to layout to online integration and subscriptions. 
I know there are some platforms for website builds and things, where you can hire someone to do it for you, but that doesn’t seem quite like what I’m imagining - like almost but not quite. Same with video tutorials, not quite it. 

Even a quarterly or yearly maintenance check in - “hey are there new features that could solve some problems I’ve had, or anything new I’m not utilizing here”. 
I would definitely pay for this service, to have it built specifically for my shops, and would love if Square made it a resource, from actual Square folx.

Also just as another example where this would be helpful - I have checked everywhere I can find to make sure that shipping is not an option on my online site, have set every item to pick up only, yet some items still get ordered to ship! But if I could reach out to a Square Professional for this and say “hey while you’re in there - can you help me find exactly where my site has shipping enabled?” So I’m not running through tutorials and hypotheticals, but someone with all the square knowledge who knows all the places this could be hidden. 
ahhhhhh my little small business owner dream to offload some of these tedious tasks that are not my wheelhouse.

ove this idea.  Square can seem slow with changes but there is always something new and lets be honest as owners we don't often have enough time to review everything we are sent by Square or other companies.  I do love the new (maybe only new to me) updoming feature post-that's fantastic, but I also feel sometimes it would be good to have someone point out things we could be doing better.  I may have to think about getting one of my mangers to do some work on learning and developing our square setup?

That would be great. I would love to have a dedicated representative. Instead of having to go  though the same situation with  a generic customer service rep anytime you have an issue and have to  call support. it can be so frustrating . I agree that  there are tons of features that  is nice to  have options with the pos, but I am sure I am missing so many of them and I cannot keep up with  reviewing all of  the emails that are sent. and the videos always leave me only half educated on the topic, having  to go and try to "figure it out on my own". Thanks for posting this

@GFC25th Right, but there would be a version of Square you would use on your account. I see you're a coffee shop? I would assume you have  Square for Restaurants, and if not, you should, and that could be your issue. If you do, there are several places in Square for restaurants to turn off delivery/shipping. 

 

 

On your dashboard - Online -> Ordering Profile -> Delivery (make sure there is no location set here )

On your dashboard - Online -> Channels -> make sure if you have any of these connected that they don't have a delivery option connected. 

On your dashboard - Online -> settings -> Delivery (deselect your location here  )

On your dashboard - Online -> websites -> fulfillment -> pickup & Delivery (should redirect you to a new tab for a location. Make sure delivery is desected here )

Oh I see what you’re getting at. I started with Square POS almost 15 years ago and never switched over to restaurant or retail as those came out - only upgraded hardware. So I’m still on OG regular ol’ Square POS.

 

But that’s the thing - I have turned it off in all the places I can find, and it still turned up as an option for people on really obscure items. 
This is ONE of the reasons I think a square professional could really come in handy. For flow - I want my catalog to look like this across these different platforms. For hidden problems- shipping is showing up somewhere I can’t find the setting for, or an item is showing available online when it’s out of stock and showing out of stock on my library (heard this one from many sellers). New features tune up - hey you have subscriptions now let’s move some of my items into that realm, cleanly.

And even like you said - maybe restaurant would be better for me, would LOVE a s sure professional to help me decide if that is best, and then move it all over for me if it is!
