I have mainly stuck with square because I can send emails to all the customers through square. But now they automatically rolled me over to square plus without an option to just do emails by itself. That is sad, I can't afford that as farmer with a couple locations set up , just to send emails. I don't do enough sales to justify the benefits. and none of the other things are something I use. I wish they would offer the email or let me just send emails occasionally for a separate fee. Thanks
Hi there! ๐ Fellow small business owner and Square Champion here!
I completely understand where youโre coming from, and I think youโve brought up a really important point that deserves attention.
Not every business needs an entire suite of features, especially smaller or seasonal businesses like farms that may only need occasional email communication with customers.
As an independent hairstylist, I understand how carefully we have to consider every business expense. Paying for a larger subscription just to access ONE feature you actually use can be difficult to justify, especially when your sales volume doesnโt support the additional cost.
I personally think Square should consider offering more flexibility, such as a standalone email marketing subscription, a pay-per-campaign option, or a lower-cost email-only tier for businesses that donโt need all the features included in Square Plus.
Small businesses arenโt one-size-fits-all, and our software subscriptions shouldnโt have to be either!
Iโd encourage you to keep this feedback request active because I believe other sellers could benefit from more flexible pricing options as well.
Quick question: Were you previously using Square Marketing as a separate subscription, or were you accessing email campaigns through another Square plan?
Iโd love to better understand what changed for you.
Thank you for sharing this feedback! These are exactly the kinds of conversations that can help Square better understand what small business owners actually need. โค๏ธ
