Entering Tares w Integrated Scale

Hello- I have a high volume frozen yogurt shop where all items are weighed. Since the recent Square update to maintain compliance with new Weights and Measures standards, sellers can no longer have a constant tare set in the scale.  Square will not allow you to process continuous transactions with the same tare.  Tare weights are now required to be entered manually in Square for each item weighed.  In a high volume shop with only 1 size cup, this is inefficient and opens the door to lots of user error (4.0 instead of .4 😒)

It would be a great addition if Square could offer to customizable, preset tare button that appears on the item weigh screen based of cup sizes in the shop.  Pressing a button instead of manually entering a decimal and number minimizes error and keeps things moving! Im really worried about employee error when the season picks up.  Any suggestions??

I absolutely need this too! Our fudge boxes are always the same weight and we sell such a high volume of them. They come to the scale already filled with fudge and now we have to manually enter 0.06 lb to Set Tare to subtract the weight of that box. Our 14 year old summer workers are bound to mess that up. I want a way to program that tare weight to the Item so it gets automatically subtracted every time. Or like you suggested, a button for us to press instead of entering the digits would at least limit some errors.

Well Square gave us another update but certainly didn't fix the problem....actually made it worse as not there is now an additional "done" button that needs to be pressed 😠
