Different Locations - Being forced onto same Square plan

I'm very frustrated with square right now.

I have been on the pay for only the features you use payment plan - I only use the shifts feature currently.

I have 4 locations set up for my business to help with accounting purposes to keep my income from those four streams separate: Wholesale (which I'm JUST getting started in and I haven't had any income in this location at all yet), farmers markets (mostly cash payments), online (these are the custom orders I send invoices for) and my storefront.

I'm being forced into square plus plan because I use shifts plus in October.  But they are going to make me pay it FOR ALL FOUR LOCATIONS!  So $196/month.  I currently pay around $38-42ish per month depending on how many employees I happen to have at the time.

I only use shifts for my storefront location to manage my employees there.

So far, my options are to delete my three locations and try to figure out a way to keep the income lines separate.  BUT this also poses other issues. We do tip sharing with whomever is clocked in at the store.  Now if someone pays a $100 tip on a wedding cake order while the storefront is open that will automatically go to tip sharing and I can't set that aside for it to go to the baker who actually decorates the cake - which is what I do right now.  Instead that $100 will just be split up with whomever happens to be clocked in at that moment.

My other option is to stop using the shifts completely with square and use some other shift clocking system and then manually enter their clocked hours into square payroll - I also will then have to manually figure out their shared tips.  But that's probably worth the time it'll take me from how much money I'll be charge extra.

Square - why can't we have our locations on separate plans? This doesn't make any sense!!

I've been using square for just about 10 years now. Very disappointed in how they are rolling this out without taking into consideration small businesses like mine (and many others!)
