Backend coding to fix Favicon

May I request

Can I request

would i be able to edit the backend traditional html coding for the main page or all pages? Or ask you to do something for me? I want the favicon image inserted in the root folder of each page. Also add <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>My Page Title</title> <link rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" href="/images/favicon.ico"> </head> <body> <h1>This is a Heading</h1> <p>This is a paragraph.</p> </body> </html> to each page so that the website icon shows in search results. I think it will add it faster than if I wait for these pages to be crawled. Right now it has the globe/world generic icon next to it. Which I dont like or want.

I think my way will speed this process up. And yes I did add the favicon icon in the settings about 2 weeks ago.

Unfortunately Square Online doesn't give you direct access to edit the HTML source or add files to the root folder. It's a managed platform — you can't drop a favicon.ico into the root directory like you would with traditional hosting.

However, you CAN set a favicon through the Square Online editor:

1. Go to your Square Online Dashboard
2. Go to Website > Design
3. Look for Site Identity or Browser Icon/Favicon in the design settings
4. Upload your icon there — Square will handle adding it to the HTML

If that option isn't showing up in your editor, it may depend on which Square Online plan you're on. Some customisation options are only available on paid plans.

For the search engine display (which is what favicon in search results is about), also make sure you've set up your site's SEO settings — title, description, and social sharing image. Google uses these along with the favicon for search result display.

i know about the favicon section that is in the settings section on weebly. But i think my website icon isnt appearing on bing search results due to not having it in the root folder and having a meta html code the traditional way. But i will give bing a week or so and see if the web crawler picks it up and adds it. Thanks MobileBarn
