Wholesale

Please make a platform that is wholesale-focused. Or add the feature that you can have customers have different credentials. Wholesale and Retail. The "restricted area" protected by a code is not enough as anyone that looks up the name of your item can reach it without the code searching on the internet. There are so many awesome wholesale features wholesale websites can offer and we would love to have that with Square.

I would love to have the ability to offer wholesale through my current online store.  It seems like it should be fairly simple on the backend (but I'm not a programmer, just someone used to working with databases).

It would involve two prices "retail" and "wholesale".  Could potentially set up additional ranges for tiered structures, but I'm a simple person, 'retail' and 'wholesale' are enough for me.

I do not want to show the wholesale price to the retail customers.  So, a wholesale customer would need to have some sort of passcode in order to see the wholesale prices.

I would be looking for a minimum order.  If someone is going to order wholesale from me, then minimum order needs to be greater than or equal to X.

I would be looking to turn off the tax for any wholesale customer.

I would want to allow coupons to be toggled such that they can be used for just retail, just wholesale, or both.

i don't mind if it is a separate website (ie. mynamehere and mynameherewholesale).  However, they would need to draw off the same database, since the items are coming from the same warehouse.  If I sell out on the retail side, I would also sell out on the wholesale side, and vice versa.

Oh, and I want this no later than yesterday.  (LOL!)

For the short term, I can ask my order department to take wholesale orders via phone and invoice the customers.  But that is not an ideal long-term solution.  This is the digital world, people are just as likely to order at 3AM when the office is closed, as any other time of day.

Please Square, make a WHOLESALE OPTION soon. I really do not want to move to Shopify, but I feel like I should as this website is not good for wholesale.

I'm in the same boat as everyone here. I have picked up 5 wholesale accounts this year.  Currently I deliver their merchandise in person and complete the sale at the same time using my Square terminal. I accomplished this by creating a location called "Wholesale," and changing the price and tax rules for that location. But the purchaser isn't always available, and I don't really feel like that's the most professional way to handle wholesale sales anyway. Not to mention that my product is handmade, so handling wholesale sales this way requires a lot more communication with the customers so I know how much product to make. Sometimes I feel like I'm bugging them. It would be a time saver as well as much more professional if my wholesale customers could login online and make their purchase.

I can imagine a couple ways this could work: 

1. Create a customer group called "Wholesale" or a check mark on each customer account that designates that customer as a wholesale customer. This should trigger the price and tax rules to automatically change for those specific customers. This should be easier to accomplish now that customers can login and manage accounts.

2. Have the capability to assign customers to a specific location by default and use the location to manage the price and tax rule change. This would be more of a work around and I can imagine it might be a bit clunky.

Yes, please let's have this feature. I am close to dropping Square and moving to Shopify for this only reason.

Please please please square this is an added feature that needs to happen asap.  With how quickly small businesses are needing to evolve to stay alive wholesale options are growing rapidly.   Not having a way to do this is going to push more and more of your retailers to shopify instead of square.  I hate shopify please get with the program so I and other retailers that perfer square are not forced to move due to lack of needed features.

I love my square account but we are already building a Shopify counterpart because we need wholesale. It is so needed. If Square would only have regular users you could give permissions too. Where only logged-in customers can see a price that would be amazing. But the wait has been long.

Hello, Any update here? We could really use a wholesale portal. We need to capture TaxID and reseller information. We also want specific discounts to be applied for each wholesale account. We are a food business and pack all the wholesale orders before the beginning of each shift. If the wholesale information was included in square this would make our lives much easier.

I have been a loyal Square user for years & not having a wholesale option still to this date is by far one of be biggest disappointments in the program. It's truly discouraging - as I've already posted I don't want to use Shopify, but the lack of a wholesale option is pushing me to start the transition begrudgingly.
