Weather data

I know this has been brought up a few times in the past, but I'm trying to see how much interest we have in adding a place the add Weather to daily reports. This would help looking back at what may be a slow sales day. We've already had several snow day's this year. When we look at historical data (today vs same day last year) we could see a possible reason.

Currently we just use a spreadsheet.  with date, day of week, type of weather, High temp, low temp, the total sales of the day, how many served.  I can create some great graphs with that info, but it would be nice to be able to have it entered when we close out the drawer.  We are greatly weather driven.  thank you,

That is the work around. I use Airtable for this and other things it’s fantastic.

That would be a fun little slot to be able to fill in. 

We always tend to slow down if it’s crazy warm or storming etc so it’s always nice to be able to refer back and be like OH that day was the storm etc. 

this would be a great feature.

It's been talk about for a good while now, hopefully we'll see something. I know the Square team has a pretty full plate and what we have to realize is one new feature or change can cause a chain reaction in the system, so I'm patient.

I also try to track it in a spreadsheet, but having it all in one place instead would be ideal.

I had spoken to Alex about this when we were testing the Square AI, as weather has an impact on my business.  I requested that the system  automatically log weather/precipitation data, and then use weather forecasts to help me predict business swings in upcoming days.   He loved that idea and found interest in it, and I think they were going to pursue it...but Alex has left now.

I hope this gains traction, and that the data can be used as I indicated above.

We've had a lot of interest in this for a while now and I feel like we will see something eventually.
