We want to resubscribe to Team Communication, but we’re running into some challenges.
In our setup, we use placeholder users to represent bookable resources (for example, courts). Unfortunately, this causes problems because Team Communication currently treats all team members the same, meaning every placeholder counts as a user with access (and potentially billing impact) even though they’re not real people.
It would be really helpful if we could:
Enable or disable Team Communication access for specific team members.
Be billed only for the number of users who actually use the feature, similar to how Square Payroll bills only for employees who receive payroll in a given period.
This would make Team Communication far more practical for businesses like ours that use both real staff and resource placeholders within Appointments.
Is anyone else running into the same issue?
And @Square Team, would this kind of flexibility be possible in future updates?
