Tax-Exempt Customer Profiles

I would love a way to mark a customer as tax-exempt in their Square customer profile. Many of my customers are churches, and having to remember to remove sales tax manually each time they make a purchase adds an extra step at checkout.

Ideally, Square would let us save a customer’s tax-exempt status and exemption certificate in their profile. When that customer is added to a sale or invoice, Square would automatically apply the exemption and show it clearly on the receipt. It would also be helpful to track certificate expiration dates and update the documentation when needed.

This would make checkout faster and help businesses keep their tax-exempt records organized.

I kudoed this but yes! 

I've run into issues if I need to refund/exchange an Item and forget to uncheck sales tax for the second round. 

Being able to categorize a customer as tax-exempt would help reduce errors. 

I get a lot of colleges with tax exempt status.
