Sub Modifiers: Create a modifier for a modifier?

Im trying to find the best way to add a steak dinner it comes with 1 side and a salad. But I will need to add a modifier to some of the sides and salad. Example baked potato add bacon,cheese, butter. Salad no tomatoes add cheese.

My recommendation is to allow modifiers to have subsections.  Example:  On a core item, a customer selects a modifier to change their side to a side salad...they cannot select a dressing attached to that modifier.  Adding an additional Modifier is confusing to people and wastes printer paper and product if they have access to unnecessary Modifier Flows.

Sub Modifiers ARE HIGHLY NEEDED

Modifiers -> Sides: Fries, Tots, Potato Salad, Side Salad

Sub-Modifier -> If "Side Salad" chosen in Modifiers, triggers Dressings Modifier Menu

Please work on getting this added.  ALOT of Restaurants would use this feature.

I just ran into this issue. I am starting a restaurant and have been using square for a while with a food truck I run. The work arounds for sub-modifiers just don't seem convenient in a full service setting. I agree, Square needs to add sub-modifiers, especially if they have been requested for many years. The main issue for me is when it comes to online ordering, the work arounds for this will cause online orders to be overly complicated. Let's say someone orders a steak with 2 sides online. They want a baked potato and a salad. Both of these can be customized. It would be much easier to customize sides based on the ones you choose instead of having separate optional modifier screens for additional customization of sides you may not have ordered.

This feature is much needed and would definitely encourage restaurants with complex modifiers to join the Square platform.

Is this feature already implemented. It has been YEARS since MANY people are asking for it. If it's not already done, then I can forget about Square for a very very very long time.

It’s absolutely **bleep** ridiculous that this hasn’t been taken care of yet.  People have been asking for this for 5 years now.  It’s basic POS menu interaction on any of the regular restaurant POS systems.  I’m sick and tired of being told that they will put in a feature request for any basic thing you need to operate a restaurant/bar quickly and efficiently

there should be a main site where people can see all the “feature requests” and vote them up etc.  a main list without duplicates and a brief description if you click on them.  I would have never wasted my time with square if I knew how many basic restaurant functions are not available on it

Came here also looking for sub modifiers! It is highly needed! 
we sell things like side salads as sides that need their own mods, and hashbrowns where customers came add toppings, etc. Please fix this!!
