Schedule/Time off
Request: Team manager to be able to submit time off on behalf of team member
Issue: Once a team member is scheduled, they no longer have the ability to request time off. The team member can request a shift cover, in some instances, there are no other team members available to cover the shift. In these instances, the team member is then contacting the team manager and advising via alternate methods such as text. There is no function for the team manager to be able to input this data. The team manager can delete the shift however there is still no data to represent the team member is unavailable. Without this data a different team manager could schedule them in again. As a work around we have created a position called 'Time Off submitted on behalf of team member'. This then shows in the schedule and causes confusion if team managers and team members are not reading the position change accurately.
