Pool Cash tips

I've seen this come up before. It's CRAZY you can't pool cash tips as well for tip pooling

The ability to track daily cash tips and include them in tip. Pooling would be so helpful, it would save us hours of work.

Wanted to chime in how helpful this would be, especially for Quick Service Restaurants and coffee shops. We have a tip jar for cash tips. Currently, we collect them for the Payroll period, count them, and then distribute them manually in envelopes. We'd LOVE to be able to enter the amount of cash tips received at the end of each day, as part of the closing report (for Restaurants specifically), then run a report to see how much was collected during the period, and distribute it as part of our Payroll run. Would love to hear a status update on this!

This is in the works at Square now, if we can put a little pressure on them through this channel and calling and requesting it we can see it sooner rather than later

When taking a payment from a table, whether payment is made by debit, credit or cash, if the customer leaves a cash tip, adding a cash tips feature (button) when closing the transaction or even at the end of each day as a separate transaction that would automatically be added to the day's tip pool would eliminate having to manually calculate tip allocations.

Under the current system, the tipping pool works but ALL CASH TIPS remain unaccounted for, leaving no other option but to manually calculate each employees portion (hours worked) of daily tips. I am stunned that this has not yet been implemented, as over 450,000 restaurants and food and beverage sellers worldwide use Square as their point of sale (POS) system. Let's make this happen sooner than later!
