Please add Dark Mode on the Square Register

Please add the dark mode option to the Square Register. I use a combination of Square Registers and iPads w/the stands. The iPads have a dark mode option and the colors pop much more with the black background and it makes it much easier for my staff to navigate the POS menu than on the Square Register which only offers a white background.

Please consider this. It is practically a disability feature these days and not a nightmare to implement unlike most code. 

Additionally, consider it for the web browser and all other UI as well. There is literally no reason not to.

Adding my voice to the chorus asking for a dark/night mode. I have employees with accessibility exceptions where they NEED a dark/night mode for their eyes. This seems like such as easy fix, I don't know why you don't just put a team on it for a long weekend and figure it out.

Add dark mode!!! It IS an accessibility necessity for people who are legally blind such as myself and one of my employees.

I can’t believe the app has no dark mode in 2024, almost 2025.

I get that white is Square’s colour but come on… Loyverse’s color is green and it has dark mode, Zettle is blue and it has dark mode, Kyte is teal and has dark mode, Toast is orange and has dark mode, Shopify is also green and has dark mode. I can continue naming POS apps and all of them have dark mode except for Square.

I’ve been testing different POS apps and finally I decided to use Square for my business but this small detail is a dealbreaker for me. Back to Zettle by Paypal or Loyverse.

I can certainly see how beneficial the dark mode feature would be for the Square Point of Sale App. However, I don't have a timeline I can provide at this stage, nor can I comment on Square’s internal development pipeline. Please know that this request is currently on our Product Team's radar, and we’ll be sure to update this thread if we hear any changes are coming.

In the meantime, you may want to check out Square for Restaurants to determine if it would be suitable for your business, as Square for Restaurants (including the free plan) has the dark mode feature available on iPad.

Dark mode on the invoices page (PC, Chrome) would be fantastic. I go blind every time I load the Square tab.
