Order confirmation emails

As of October 29, 2025, I would receive three emails after each payment link order was completed:

  • One email was a copy of the order confirmation email that was sent to the customer.  This email gave very detailed order information of items ordered, complete customer information with billing address and shipping address.
  • The second email was a notification of payment with very basic information on the payment link name, amount, and customer name. 
  • The third email was a notification of payment which provided our Square balance and payment transfer information.  

 

After October 29, I stopped receiving the detailed order confirmation email, but still receive the other two.  The order confirmation email was the most valuable and useful as it contained all of the information necessary to fulfill the order.  The other two emails do not.  

 

I contacted customer support by phone and after a VERY long call and being bounced around between multiple reps, I was informed the confirmation email was discontinued and no longer an option.  While I agree that three emails per each order is a bit much, the one that was discontinued was the most useful.  

 

Can that feature be turned back on, or can the current email being sent be modified with complete order information?  The process to access necessary information to fulfill orders has become very tedious and not user intuitive or user friendly.  The "view payment" link provided in the email will take me to the payment links section of the dashboard which includes even less detail than the email.  To get to the detailed information, I have to click on the "view in orders" button (conveniently located almost unnoticeable at the bottom of the transactions detail screen) or manually go to the orders section to access the shipping information.  To provide this to the appropriate staff fulfilling the order, I then have to print the report or save it as a pdf to attach to an email.  It was so much more efficient to forward the detailed confirmation email to the appropriate employee to process the order.  I appreciate your consideration.
