Merge phone & take out orders with Orders tab on POS

We currently receive orders 4 ways at our restaurant:
1. Dine in - customer walks in and sits down and orders from the table

2. Online - customer places an order online through our Square site or Doordash
3. Phone order - customer calls in their order and pays at pickup
4. Take out - customer walks up to the counter and places their order and pays

Phone and take out orders are difficult to manage because there is no true current flow in place for them within the system. There is no place within Square for Restaurants dedicated for phone and take out orders the way there is for dine in (Floorplan) and online orders (Orders).

When a take out customer pays, the order disappears from the POS and can only be found in Transactions, even though the order isn't complete yet. For phone orders, we are currently placing them on a table we created on the floorplan named 'Phone Orders'.

Merging phone and take out orders with the Orders tab would be a great way to allow restaurants like us to manage ALL to go orders in one place. It would simplify orders into two categories, dine in or take out. It would also allow us to notify customers when their order is ready while allowing our staff to not lose track of take out and phone orders.

@Gina-Mia after you choose whether it is for here or togo, what would happen next? How would you track the order?

a million x yes and please for this feature!! Many times do customers call on a Tuesday for a pickup for Saturday. There needs to be a way for the receipt to print to BOH at a more reasonable time so the chit does not get lost. If you could record on the day of pickup too BONUS.

yes this is urgently needed. why cant square add this simple thing?

I'm currently on a 30 days trial with Square for restaurant and noticing this feature is not available.  We have customers who place a phone order ahead of time for pickup or delivery at a future date/time and there is no way to do this in Square.  It should be a simple request, take the scheduled order, take payment before hand or on the day of depending on the size of the order. The order would then be saved in the system until specified time before pickup/deliver to be sent to the kitchen.  Another issue I'm experiencing is that we are unable to see customer's address on delivery orders.  We have in-house drivers and take delivery orders over the phone.  The workaround that support told me is to add the address in the notes field.  This is a huge inconvenient having our staff enter the address in the notes field for every delivery orders when customers' profile should already have their address and phone number.  Any advice on if I should continue with Square beyond the 30 days trial period?

We are currently on a 30 days trial of Square for Restaurant plus and needing this feature ASAP before moving forward with Square.

We provide catering orders and orders for schools who usually order a few days in advanced for pickup and delivery.  We need to be able to schedule the order and save it in the system until the pickup/delivery date. Customers should have the options of paying before hand or on the day of. Our current system allows us to schedule how many minutes before to be sent to the kitchen.

We also take orders over the phone for pickup and delivery.  It doesn't look like Square has the capability to print customer phone/address on the ticket.  This information is vital for out in-house delivery drivers. We take orders over the phone quite often since our customers are more old school and not tech savy to place orders online. Other POS systems do not have any issue with this, not sure why Square could not complete this feature request.  Customer's already have a profile in the system with their phone number and address, it should be just a quick attach to the order and all the information are there. It would be also helpful to be able to print the credit card signature so customer can add tips if they choose.

Any advice would be greatly appreciate.

We would use this feature often for phone orders and catering. The 'open check' function is not ideal for our Order workflow.
