I also have a feature request relating specifically to Square Kiosk.
It would be extremely useful to have a dedicated Order Status display app for Square Kiosk, ideally on Android (primarily due to screen sizing, mounting options, and cost compared to iOS).
The idea would be a customer-facing display showing two live order lists for customers who have ordered via the kiosk:
- Orders in preparation
- Orders ready to collect
Orders would move automatically from “in preparation” to “ready to collect” as their status changes, giving customers clear visual feedback and reducing crowding or repeated queries at the counter.
As an additional enhancement, the app could optionally announce order numbers when they move to “ready to collect”, which would be particularly helpful in busy or noisy environments.
I believe this would significantly improve customer experience, reduce staff interruptions, and bring Square Kiosk closer in line with larger QSR-style ordering systems, while still fitting Square’s simplicity.
