Image Management, Import, and Export

Image Management, Import, and Export

Critical for both Retail and Online, for diverse and large catalogs is the need to manage images in all capacities. By this I mean to upload images in bulk via Import, export image data (meta data, used on links etc), re-import image data (updating meta data), and download image files.

If you have hundreds of images already on the site, one needs to be able to audit them for usage and complete data.  To add images to multiple products then it should be possible to upload the files with appropriate data. Even if uploading and editing has to be two phases (upload images to repository and then upload meta data and links to one or more products/variations) that is better than the current inadequate design.

Completely agree with this. It would be fantastic to either include an import field pointing to a URL or some other method to allocate images to product (and categories). I've just uploaded 2000 product lines and now have to enter them manually one at a time.

100% I am trying to use a 3rd party system and square as my POS. I am able to export everything except photos. Having thousands of items on Square with photos makes it very difficult to add all my items to the new service to sync with Square. Essential I have to either save the photos manually and re-add them or take new photos. Extremely time consuming.
