Payment links are a great Square feature, but, when posted to a public site, they allow for fraudulent charges and ultimately unfair Square fees for processing the fraudulent charge and later processing the charge back from the bank. This is mainly possible because the minimum collected contact information, mainly email address, is not validated before it is stored. So fake names and email addresses can be used with a valid credit card number for orders. Can the payment links feature be enhanced to offer an option where at least the email address must be validated by confirming some code that is sent to it? I don't think the feature enforces the collection of any phone number at this time, but it would be great to offer the option of validating any collected phone number too.
