Customers Signing Receipts

Little context before the idea: We are a hotel and we use square as out restaurant POS, When a guest signed a physical receipt so that it is assigned to a room, if the physical receipt is lost then the customer may dispute that charge.

We need a way to sign on the device to then store the receipt with the signature online. This would help with the lost revenue and help with the extra cost of storing of the receipts. It will also help with going paperless as a business to improve environmental impact while also making it easier to locate charges.

This is a brilliant idea! I believe Square already has this solution in place in the US where the customer can sign the credit card charge on the screen so it is a matter of a quick tweak to make it work here. I think all hotels would love this!!!

Hi @Puzan, thanks for filing this feature request 🙂.

To second @KarlCzarny, I think it's a brilliant idea as well ! I can see how businesses would benefit from this feature, especially to protect themselves against chargebacks. I also like your argument about being more environmental friendly. 

While this feature is already available in the US, I haven't heard anything about launching it on the UK market for now. I'll let you know if it gets released. In the meantime, I would suggest joining the Square Beta Programme.
