Auto-restock / inventory adjustment feature for bakery items

Hi there guys 👋 hope you are well!

I'm really interested in an auto-restock feature. We have bread and pastries delivered every day and if Square would automatically restock these items, then it would be much easier for us to keep track of sales and waste. With that, I mean adjust the stock level completely and not just add more items to the inventory.

It would also be really useful if it was then possible to auto-comp leftovers that can't be sold the day after so that we could easily generate a report of waste. Hope that makes sense.

We see how inventory is able to updated daily with the .csv or google sheets import/export system, but that only updates our inventory of that day, correct? How do we set up a default inventory for the rest of the week per day, so customers can order ahead online?

We're a bakery so our items are made fresh every day. All that's to say, if we're out of an item today it doesn't mean we'll be out tomorrow, so we want our customers to be able to order in advance for tmrw (not have to wait for the day of to place an online order)

Regarding your inventory question, it sounds like you're currently manually adjusting your inventory levels. Perhaps scheduling inventory restocks may be a good fit for you. When you have the chance, take a look at the linked support article and let me know if this sounds like what you're looking for.
