Allow a client to pay for multiple appointments in one transaction

Sometimes there are a party of four people, each with their own appointment. 

One person decides to pay for everyone. 

Rather than having to do four separate credit card transactions, it would be nice to be able to select all four appointments and charge the credit card once. 

Not only will this make checkout faster, it will also reduce people questioning why their credit card statement has four similar charges at the same business.

I have a question for everyone in this discussion. 

How would you expect tip to work during checkout if the appointments were with different Service Providers?

Would the tip page have to ask how much you’d like to tip each Service Provider?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

@TCSlaguna I expect tips would be split by service cost percentages, exactly like how it work with multi staff appointments. e.g.

Appointment A -> $60

Appointment B -> $40

Total of all Appointments -> $100

Total tips -> $10

Tips for for Appointment A -> 60% -> $6

Tips for for Appointment B -> 40% -> $4

Adding my support here. I run a dog training and pet care business, and clients often book multiple services (training sessions, boarding, daycare) that end up as separate appointments. When a client wants to pay for a few of these at once, I have to run separate transactions each time. Being able to select multiple appointments and check out in one payment would save a lot of time on both ends. Hoping this gets prioritized.

Agreed, appointments needs many upgrades!  I have yoga classes that clients can only book one at a time, so a 12-week session may end up being 12 transactions, which is crazy!

My only concern is how certain reports may be affected by having multiple services in one transaction. How do clients select the tip to different service providers.

Majority new features are more geared towards kitchen and restaurants and it seems like Square Appointments is lacking of new meaningful updates recently
