Add Ons for Appointments

Add Ons for Appointments

Hello there,

Is there any chance of an option to use add ons for appointments being in the works? For instance, the customer selects the service on the first part of the form, then goes to add ons for that service before the customer info form.

The current possible work around for this is to have 10s and 10s of drop down options with various combinations of add ons, which is not only tedious to set up, but a bad and confusing UX for the customer.

It's not only a chance to upsell for us, but will inflate the transaction amount to increase Square's revenue, and it would undoubtedly steal users away from a competitor (I won't name them so this doesn't appear as an advert) which only has paid options, but offers this feature.

Square is better than them in every way, but it's really hard to justify using it when it's missing this feature which would leave too much money on the table.

I saw a post on here from 2019 where there were several posts saying this was being looked at or in development, but can't find anything on the topic so here I am.

came across this when I was disappointed to see I could set up modifiers for my facials only to find out they won't display! Square why have something that won't display. Modifiers can be reused for different services and seem to have all the settings that many of us would want. variations now mean I need to set the same thing up separately for each service instead of reusing it and if I want to add a new option go back to each service and change it. super disappointed that this is not an option and that it has been requested by so many for so long and it still hasn't been done.

Hi! I’m back here again because my salon is trying to update our menu but can’t offer bookable add-ons to our services on our website! Super frustrated with square!

I just signed up with Aquity for this very reason. And that I can't block out clients info based on each staff members client list.

@Kassi_ Hi Square!! Just learned that Acquity has this add-on feature and that Acquity is OWNED by Squarespace! What is taking so long to bring add-ons to Square Appointments?? And why is it nearly impossible to transition out of Square Appointments to Acquity Scheduling??

I was trying to switch to Acuity but ran into a hitch. While they do have add ons, they don’t support booking multiple appointment types at once by the client. For example, if a client wants to book a haircut and a pedicure, they’d have to book two separate appointments. They also don’t have a waitlist. I am now trying out Vagaro. If you chat with them on their website, they’ll give you a 30 day trial with no commitment. They also assist you in importing all of your data from Square Appointments. I just had my onboarding and importing video call today and when all the importing is done (tomorrow), I’ll do another video call so they can help me get the lay of the land. They have add ons, waitlist and the ability for clients to book multiple appointment types together. They have a lot of other features, too, but for now I’m trying out the online booking feature.  It’s too bad Square couldn’t come through for us in all these years.

Any update on this?
