Hi,
I'm new to square and happy to be here. I have a tutoring business and I want all of my client data to be confidential for all of my employees. There is an option to not show phone numbers and emails for contacts, However if all (or at least a steady stream of) client names show up in recently created, that doesn't protect my list of contacts because the names themselves still show up which is confidential data. Can we integrate a feature so that the recently created list does not show up while still having the customer creation enabled for employees. Because I also don't want to have to manually input every new client into the system myself.
If you go to Teams, and then edit the permissions for your employees. You can set permissions.
I don't think you can stop them from seeing recently created, however, there is an option to turn off the ability to see the customer database while still allowing entry of new customers. This might keep the employee from seeing the list while logged in to their account.
I'll have to try with my daughter's account and see, but in the meantime, see if giving them as little viewing permissions as possible while still being able to add new ones will help.
Hi Orlando, thanks for your response. I did make those adjustments to my permissions but when I type in names into the "new client" option, all of the other names with those same first letters pop up. These are the permissions I currently have on. (attached below)
Hello @TRUTutoring ! Welcome to the seller community!
What you are asking is definitely possible using permissions. If you set up a generic login (so you don't have to pay for the upgraded Advanced Access), you can control what your employees see. In particular, you can restrict access to sensitive data:
Here is an article detailing how to set up employee permissions.
Hope this helps!
Hi Ryan. Thanks for your response. Yes I have deselected the sensistive information permission. But is seems like first and last name are not considered sensitive. However for my business they are. I've attached my permission set here. I wonder if there is a workaround for that.
