Loyalty Promo BONUS POINT not showing up on checkout screen

We just started utilizing the Loyalty Program. I just created a 'promotion'

Our loyalty program is 1 point per visit (minimum spend of $10 to qualify)

For the promotion, I wanted created 1 bonus point if you purchase a minimum $50 of item X.

I launched the promotion then wanted to test run it. I put $50 worth of item X into the cart, but only the 1 regular loyalty point is showing up. The bonus point is not showing up. I had assumed it would turn from 1 point to 2 when the $50 worth of item X was in the cart, or show 1 loyalty point and 1 bonus point. But at this point, nothing is happening. 

I didn't complete the checkout because I wasn't planning to spend $50 of my own money on my own merchandise. Should the promotion bonus point show up during check out, or will it not show up until the checkout is complete, meaning I have no way of verifying before rolling out?

I checked in with our Loyalty team and they were wondering which promotion exactly you were referring to.

  • Is it the promotion that is currently canceled?
  • Or are you looking to use the promotion that isn't set til 1/30?

The also said that the total number of points earned should be shown after checkout, and in your Activity. Which does mean that the payment would have to be fully processed for those points to appear.
