Loyalty Program Partnerships

I've been working on an idea of mine that would allow two merchants to partner via their loyalty programs and allow their customers to swap points between their respective loyalty programs. I wanted to ask the community what they think about this. This would require no changes to your existing loyalty program.

But would allow for:

1. Cross marketing opportunities.
2. Access to more customers between partners.
3. An ability to notify customers about new rewards
4. Reminders to come back and spend rewards
5. Provide more rewards options
