Looking for ideas for restaurant rewards.

I'd like to pick a points and reward combo that is really worth it for our local customers and will boost repeat business during the slow season. We serve breakfast, lunch, espresso drinks, ice cream, smoothies, and bakery items. I'd like our first attempt at this to be effective and based on experience. Thank you for any worthy ideas you have to offer!

Hi @kchester.  We’ve tried a couple of different loyalty programs.  All had good results but our current one is better for a couple of reasons.  First, it is simple to understand which is key to a successful loyalty program.  Second, it is flexible as far as redemptions, rather than locking my customers into free stuff that they may or may not want.

Basically, we award one point for every dollar spent.  Every 10 points banked can be redeemed for $1 in discounts, with a maximum of 150 points ($15) being allowed to be redeemed in any one transaction.  We also have loyalty tiers where regular customers see their points multiplied with free points when they’ve reach those levels.  Here’s a link to our loyalty program web page.

We tried a more complicated program where points were awarded per item and redemptions were in the form of fixed discounts.  That was just too involved for anyone to understand and our customers like the simplicity and flexibility of what we have now.
