How to change preferred customer notification?

I would like to change the preferred customer notification to no notification. I know there is a way to do it as i have before for some. I can not find it anymore. Was it removed? I remember doing in the customers profile but that option is no longer there.

Looking for some clarification here, so I can provide you with the best solution. Are you trying to change the preferred customer notification on your side or the customer facing side?

On my side i would like to be able to change it. I would like to be able to create appointments without the customer being notified right away when they are created. I need to create and schedule around 400 appointments in the span of 2 months then need to route the appointments. Also is there a way to not have start/arrival times on the appointments?
