Hack to change location of a marketing campaign

I have two stores under square, Recently I've been using email marketing campaigns to send out messages to my customers. However, I want to send different campaigns (with similar content) for each store so I can track them independently.

The problem is that with the official marketing tools, once I create a campaign for one store, I'd like to duplicate all the text, headers, colors, buttons for the other campaign, However, as many other threads already mention, you cannot change the location of a duplicated campaign. So officially, I had to manually duplicate each campaign for the 2nd store.

While doing this, it turns out I've found an unofficial hack to duplicate a campaign and change the location. Here's what I had to do:

- Duplicate the campaign using the official square tools.

- Open that campaign for editing. Go to the section where you can edit text and headers. Leave it open.

- Open a new browser window, go to square marketing, and create a new email campaign with the location you want for the duplicated campaign. Choose any type of email campaign. Leave it open at the editing stage (where you add text and buttons)

- Now go back to the window that has your open duplicate campaign. Now edit any text or header (ie add a couple of spaces and then delete them). You should see a notification in the upper right that the changes were saved.

- It turns out that when the duplicate campaign now saves, it will save with the location from the other new campaign you had left open!

- Go ahead and close both windows and then re-open the duplicate campaign. You should now see that the location changed. You can also delete the other new campaign you created temporarily.

i don't know if it makes any difference, but I use Chrome as my browser.

i really hope this helps someone else avoid the extra work of manually duplicating a campaign.
