We are wanting to add a loyalty program to our microbrewery. However, we only want to reward with points on draft beer purchased, excluding merchandise and to go beers.
When setting up loyalty, I see you can select the program type to "amount spent" or you can do "category based". I am wanting to choose an amount spent within the category. Is there a way I can do this?
Hey @caseyt I thought I was clear on your purpose UNTIL I read your last sentence before your question. So, I’m giving you two answers.
If you want to award points for all items purchased within a category (“draft beer”) then you can select “Any item in a category” and the add that category to your Earning Points section. Then all purchases in that category will earn points for the customer.
However, if you are wanting to combine the functionality of “Amount spent” and “ Any item in a category” so that customer have to spend a certain amount in draft beer purchases before earning points, then you currently can’t do this. It’s one or the other, not both.
