Set up help

Hi, I'm new here so apologies if this isn't the place to ask!

 

I've just set up my online shop but am having a couple of small issues I can't work out 

 

Is it possible to change the stock quantity amounts? The majority of products I make are unique so there is only ever one available but I can't figure how to change the selection so customers can't select more then one?

 

I'm also struggling to get the modifier box to work, I've completed all the details and ticked the boxes etc but no box shows on the display page

Hi there @A-star, thanks for your post and welcome to the Seller Community 🙂

 

If you have stock tracking turned on for your Square Onine items customers should not be able to add more items to their basket than what is availaible.

 

Square Online Dashboard > Items > Site items > Select item > Stock > Update > Track stock

In terms of modifiers not appearing, can you follow the steps in this article, then unpublish and republish your site.

 

To unpublish your Square Online site:

  1. In your Square Online Overview page, go to Website > Site Preferences.
  2. Select Unpublish.

You can then republish your site from the Square Online site editor.

 

 

If after doing so your modifiers are not appearing with your items on your site, please let me know and we can take another look at it.

Thankyou very much, I've managed to correct the stock and get the modifiers showing. I have set up one text modifier and one list modifier but can't see how to change the list modifier to make it a required field and for the customer to only be able to choose one of the two options?

So just to make sure I've understood correctly here, for one particular item you have two modifiers: 

 

- List option 

- Text box option 

 

But you want it so that the customer can have both options available but only choose one or the other, not both?

Hi, yes that's correct. I have the text box option which is showing as required and then I have two list options which I need customers to choose either one or the other.

 

If it helps, the two list options I need are -

- sealed

- unsealed

 

At the moment the list options show as optional and customers are able to select both

View the item in Online / Items / Site items, in the modifier section select customise next to the list modifier and set it to Minimum required 1 and Maximum allowed 1
