Is there any way to not have the quantity option - I am selling individual items only

I sell individual items so there is no choice but to have only one of anything I sell.  Do I have to have the quantity boxes or is there a way to simply have a 'buy now' box?

 

I've looked through the support section and can find no mention of this if I have missed it, I apologise, but would appreciate some direction to where I can find the answer to this.

Hi @Trish_UK, thank you for reaching out! Whether you are selling online or through the Square Point of Sale app, the quantity box will still be a required field. At the moment, there isn't a way to remove or hide this. 

 

You can definitely configure it so that customer can select Buy Now on the item page rather than have the Add to Cart option. As @Sam_400º said, this also means that the customer will be directed straight to the checkout section and not have the option to browse the website. To do this:

 

1. Go to your Square Online site

2. Under Settings > Checkout

3. Scroll down to Advanced Settings > Edit

4. Select Buy Now > Save

Hey @Trish_UK - are you thinking of the online options or using the POS app? 

Online you can have it set to ‘buy now’ - but this also means that customers would be taken directly to the checkout rather than staying in the store to add any other items to their basket. 

On the POS - I don’t see any problem with being able to have the option to have more than one. If you’re getting the options screen & have to make extra tabs to add the item then you can skip the options screen using this feature in each item:

Hi Trish, did you resolve this issue - I am a glass artist and have the same problem as people can add multiple items when they click on one item

Have you changed your checkout mode to Buy Now as per the suggestion above?

Here is another thing that may help:

In your Dashboard item library (not the Online item library), open the item settings and scroll towards the bottom.
You can make the order maximum 1

This will make it so your customers cannot add more than one item per order.
