How to remove shipping/delivery options on items

I am new to Square and setting up my online store. I would like to have the delivery / shipping options turned off for each individual item and only shown at the check out with flat rate shipping, how do i go about turning off the shipping section for individual items please?

TIA

Kerry 🙂

Hi there @ThreadBearPrint 👋

Welcome to our Seller Community!

Are you offering multiple fulfilment methods for your items, e.g both shipping and local pick up? It's not possible to turn off shipping for individual items until your customers check out, but if you're offering both shipping and local pick up, for example, your customers will be prompted to select this at the item level.

Feel free to include some screenshots, or a link to your website so we can take a look as well, in case this isn't the issue you're seeing.

I'll keep an eye out for your reply 🙂

I want to apply a $10 flat rate of shipping for Australian customers and $30 flat rate to international customers i.e. Make the shipping cost really cheap and simple. Plus encourage customers to order more than one item to save on postage.

Can this be done with Square?

Hi @Slick1,

Yes, you can achieve this by creating two shipping rates for your items. Here's how:

1. Sign in to your Square Online dashboard

2. Select Fulfillment > Shipping

3. Click Shipping Profiles > Set Up.

4. When creating your Australian shipping rate, select Australia as the country and add your rate(s).

5. Click Save once you're done and repeat these steps for your international shipping rate by selecting "Rest of the World" from the drop-down.

Please let us know how you go!

To exclude a country do you have to tick every country except the one you wish to exclude?

Or is there some simpler way? e.g. Is there some simple way of ticking the entire list while excluding one country? Or do you have to tick each country one by one?

Hey there @Slick1, just jumping in for @Arie here!

Correct, you would need to select every country you wish to include in this shipping rate and leave any unticked that you do not wish to include.

At this stage, we don't have an alternative option for setting up international shipping. However, this is something we've heard from other Sellers and I can certainly forward your feedback on to our Product Team today. 🤗

There will be about 200 countries on the list... so it's a bit of an effort to tick them all... minus one.

A quicker way to achieve the same end would be appreciated: Product Development Team

List kept disappearing as I was half way through ticking everything... so had to break it down into smaller chunks.

Took over 20 goes to tick everything... minus 3.

It would be better if there was a simpler way to select that many countries.

Now that I have created the shipping rates how can I access the Product sales page to take advantage of this automation?

Do I have to use your page?

Or can I just cut and paste in some HTML code to access the buttons & cart on my own website?

Hi again, @Slick1!

The behaviour you've described with the country list is certainly unusual! I've not experienced this myself on my own account so if you notice it happens each time you go to amend your country list, it's something I would recommend reaching out to our Support Team so that a Square Online specialist can test this behaviour.

I'm not 100% clear on what you're asking in your latest post, I'm sorry. Are you looking to integrate Square with a third-party website?

You can view our available eCommerce integrations via the Square App Marketplace. As a general rule, if you're using a third-party platform, the integration will sync sales and inventory so you can manage everything from one place.

If you don't want to integrate Square with your third-party website, you can certainly add a buy button to your site as an alternative. If you need help with adding embeddable HTML code to your website built outside of Square, contact your website provider or publishing platform directly for support.

I hope this information helps!
