Hi does anyone know if you let your clients book appointments online, if you can set Square to only accept the most efficient time. So you don’t get wasted time blocks before or after where you cannot book anything.
Before I dive into this, I just want to make sure I have the right information with me - it sounds like when customers are booking online, you'd like them to be assign a time slot automatically rather than having them select a time slot themselves, is that correct?
So if I have free apt 2-4 pm and some wants a service that takes 1 hr 15 mins, I want them to with book 2 pm or 2.45 pm so that I have 45 min to book in someone else. If they were to choose 2.30 that would leave 30 minutes before and only 15 mins after which I can’t use.
What you can potentially do to prevent this is to add Block Extra Time to your services. This time is not bookable by customers but will give you times between appointments for clean-up, transitioning, travel etc. This will also prevent customers from booking appointments during this time.
Additionally, it's worth making sure that appointments are scheduled According to service duration. This will help to prevent any accidental double-booking as well. You can set this under Appointments > Settings > Calendar & Booking> Online Scheduling.
