Set custom item name abbreviations for kitchen tickets vs the full item name

Along these same lines.... we have a restaurant and I want the product name to be short in the pos so it prints nice to the kitchen, but online I'd like the names to be longer. ie CHX TEND for the pos vs Sternside Chicken Tenders for the online to-go store.

Is this doable?

I can definitely see the usability benefit of this feature for a fast paced kitchen!

I feel this one deserves it's own feature request thread for tracking, so I've moved your post to its own thread on our Feature Requests board.

goto online/setting/square sync and turn off the sync button

I looked at that setting, but it only un-syncs the descriptions. 

I want short names for items for the POS / kitchen staff and the fancy nice long names for the online store.
