Our engineering team have let me know that they have discerned that it looks like these integration issues are stemming on Googles side, however, if you would like to send me over some examples (items, screenshots) for your account, I'd be happy to open a new ticket to take a closer look.
Are you saying that square integfration with Google Merchant Centre is now available in the UK? as all other threads going back over a year seem to say it is only available in the US! With no time line on a UK release!
The error above is a common issue with Google Merchant Centre. Since this is a google product, we are limited in what we are able to do, but here are a few resources that may fix the issue for you:
There isn't a way to add these automatically since we don't have a direct connection with Google Merchant Centre in the UK at the moment and we don't currently have a timeline for it just yet. But do keep an eye out on the Seller Community. We'll be sure to announce it if this changes.
My mistake initially, Skyler is correct in saying Google Product Listings via Merchant Centre in not yet available in the UK, apologies!
Given that this feature is not available in the UK, it would explain why products are not properly syncing @GMT. We cannot say that this is linked to the issue you have experienced with Facebook shop @SGM1.
Any updates we do have on this feature coming to the UK, we'll be sure to let you know.
I have sent days talking to Facebook and Google and reading guidance notes from them and Square as well as looking at my square sites source and from what I can see it is the page tags that are incorrect or missing which has been reported by both companies in their diagnostics as per the message above.
To the point that the standard Google indexing crawlers are reporting more pages with issues than without which means even the normal Google search results are worse than they should be!
Unfortunately Squares technical staffs refusal to talk to a user leaves me unable to progress the investigation further.
As previously stated it is critically important that an e-commerce site works with Google.
Just jumping on this as I'm having exactly the same issue with regard to google page indexing.
Have you found any fixes?
I'm getting more and more "Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user" even with pages with completely different URL's and content. The fixes suggested by Google do not seem to apply to ecommerce sites - Seems Google does not crawl Sqaure site correctly - but I have no problem with Google and other sites
