Allow Service to have day/times available to book

Please allow services to be created by us with the option of selecting the days/times you wish to have this service available to the public. 

 

Exmaple - I will like to launch laser hair removal and consults.  I would like this to be only bookable by customers on Mondays - how do I create this rule ?? 

Currently, there is no flexibility on when these services can be made available, So the customer has free range once the calendar opens up to them.

So I believe I have read another seller in the last few weeks asking about the same thing.  And I believe that the work around or this was to create a "dummy" team member, that team member was then only available for the specific days that the service was to be used.  So when you go into the service and select the fake team member that will be doing those services.  That should solve the issue..  I will edit this post and put a step by step on how to achieve this shortly.

First you would want to start by creating a team member, (yourself with a personal email address).  Here is the article on how to create a team member, but the steps below are for doing so on a computer throught your dashboard.

  1. Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Staff > Team > Team members.
  2. Select Add team member.
  3. Enter the team member’s first and last name, along with their email address or phone number. Click Next.
  4. Enter their primary job title, job details, and pay type (hourly or salary). If the job already exists, select Primary job title or start typing the title to access a drop-down menu of existing jobs. Select Next.
  5. Determine their level of access by selecting an existing permission set or select Create a new permission set.
  6. Assign the locations these permissions apply to and click Save.
  7. To make the team member an authorized representative, toggle on Authorized Representative.
  8. Generate a personal passcode, then select Next.
  9. Review the information you provided and your selections, then select Done.

Once you have created that team member, and are back on the page showing all members, click on the member you just created.   Then choose appointments. (see photo below).  Front here you can scroll down until you see Bookable Hours  Edit the hours to reflect Monday and the times you want associated with that service.

When creating that service you want, you will scroll down to the Online Booking section,>Assigned Team members.  Add in your newly created team member and that should set you up to only allow that to be booked on Mondays.

Hi I’m worried that using a “dummy” provider would cause issues with double booking. I assume it would not be able to accurately reflect the availability of the techs working those days. STILL NEED A FEATURE THAT ALLOWS CLIENTS TO BOOK SERVICES FOR SPECIFIC DAYS ONLY.
